Set a Page Type

Setting a Basic Page Type allows you to organize content based on predefined taxonomy term.

Basic Page Type taxonomies allow you to categorize and group your content. For example, you can create a Basic Page Type called “Research Project,” then build a list of page using that identifier.

When building Basic Page Type vocabulary, you should choose terms that represent broad categories, rather than narrow descriptions. For example, “Research Projects” would be a good broad category,  but “Alzheimer Research” may be too narrow.

  1. Add a new term to your site’s Basic Page Types vocabulary. See Adding new taxonomy terms.
  2. Create a new Basic Page (or edit an existing page).
  3. Scroll down to the Page Metadata.
  4. Click on the Basic Page Type drop-down menu and select a term.
  5. Click Save.
