This major release refactored Stanford Sites to use Single Directory Components. This behind-the-scenes upgrade improves performance and lays the foundation for exciting new design options in future releases.
Control over content discoverability
- Site Managers now have complete control over metatags and schema metadata across all pages, making your content more discoverable through AI agents and search engines.
- The new "Exclude from Search" feature gives you fine-grained control over content visibility. With a single checkbox, you can hide individual pages from both on-site search and major search engines, and excluded pages are automatically removed from sitemaps.
Stanford Digital Repository Integration
Showcase your scholarship by embedding rich media from the Stanford Digital Repository:
- SDR content can be embedded directly into any rich text area (Text Area, Body areas, etc.)
- The Audio/Visual content type will accept SDR content in the media field.
Other improvements
- Schedule unpublish dates for News, Events, People, and Opportunities
- Events now an available display for the Filtered Lists paragraph
- Enhanced card displays across Basic Pages, News, Events, and Opportunities with improved spacing, images, and visual hierarchy
- Corrected comma placement on A/V pages and news topic lists
