User Accounts and Roles

Site managers have the ability to manage the user accounts on their site by adding and updating user roles, and by cancelling user accounts. 

User Roles

Anyone who visits your website is considered a user. There are typically two groups of users:

• Anonymous users - Users who are not logged in
• Authenticated users - Users who are logged in

Users on your site can be also be assigned a user role by site managers. A user role defines a group of users that have certain additional privileges as defined in user permissions. There are currently three user roles on sites:

• contributor (least access)
• site editor
• site manager (most access)
