Update site name

Your "site name" appears in the top left of your website, paired with the "Stanford" logo.

The site name will display as the title of the site and will be the title that is displayed in searches such as Google search. For example: The site name of https://swsblog.stanford.edu is "Web Services Blog"

How-to: Update site name

1. Navigate to Configuration > Systems > Site settings:

2. Update Site Name in its respective text field:

3. Save.


Important note: Do not enter your desired URL as the site name, as this would cause your entire site to redirect to that destination. Use the name of your Stanford organization or department instead. If you are interested in launching your site and/or requesting a vanity host later, please submit a ServiceNow request.
