Welcome to Stanford Sites, the university's centrally-managed web publishing platform.
The Stanford Sites Drupal CMS jumpstarts your new website with options that can be customized to fit your content.
Your new site comes with default pages, an accessible and mobile responsive layout, integration with the Stanford Events calendar and Stanford Profiles, structured content types, embeddable media options, and a Stanford-branded theme. Drag-and-drop layout options allow you to create unique, beautiful, and usable pages to showcase your content.
Stanford Web Services keeps your site secure and performing well with daily backups, monitoring, security and accessibility maintenance, and new feature releases.
First steps
The following are the first three steps to get started on Stanford Sites.
Request a New Site
Drupal is available for Stanford administrative unit, institute, academic department, lab, or personal websites.Log In to the Site
There are two ways to log into your site.Update the Site Name
Your site name is an important part of the information about your site.Working with external vendors or freelancers?
You can work with external vendors on your Stanford Site. Request the website using your SUNetID, then sponsor a base (free) SUNet ID for your external vendor or freelancer and add their Stanford account as an editor on the new website.
When the project is done, be sure to remove their account access and end the sponsorship.
