Add or Hide External Link Icons

External links are hyperlinks that point to another website or information that is not stored on your website. You can choose to have these external links detected automatically and an icon added to any link that leads the user off of your site.
Newer sites have these external link icons turned off by default.
To control the appearance of external links icons throughout your site:
- In the administrative toolbar, Go To Configuration >System> Site Settings.
- If you wish to show the icons, leave the box unchecked. If you wish to hide them, check the box.
- Click Save.
